A gorgeous, high quality handbag by top end British brand Rayne. The Rayne brand is synonymous with hand made quality shoes and handbags which were worn by the Royal family,HM the late Queen Elizabeth's wedding shoes were made by Rayne. It is in excellent condition, smooth black calf leather, in virtually pristine condition showing no signs of wear. The understated gilt clasp is still bright and shiny with no tarnish, as are the handle fixings, the leather handles look unused. The leather to the front is flawless and the back has a tiny blemish and slight indent where the handles have been stored against it and which will lessen with use and proper storage. There are two outside slip pockets lined in black silky fabric, handy for tickets or invitations. The inside is lined in a cream beige suede and looks unused, clean with no marks or stains and with the 'Rayne' label attached. There are a zipped pocket and a leather edged slip pocket.
A beautiful handbag, classic and classy, of high quality, in excellent condition and from Rayne, a collectable top end brand. It's dainty and small, large enough for essentials for daytime use yet suitable for evening wear too. This would have been a very expensive handbag 'back in the day' and a new one of similar quality today would cost a four figure sum. Understated, classic and classy and as it's vintage no one else will be wearing the same...
