This is a beautiful clutch bag which I believe is from the late 60's.It does not have a brand label but it has similarities to Ackery bags of this time but also the clasp is similar to one oftern used by Mappin and Webb, so we would not be sure. It is of good quality leather and is in very good to excellent condition both inside and out, not heavily used. The nude colour has a pink tinge to it,slightly more than it appears in the photos. The lining which is a cream grosgrain is immaculate and there is just the odd tiny mark on the exterior and couple of nick to the leather covered top frame to indicate it is vintage and not new. The gilt chain which is in excellent condition folds inside the handbag to form a clutch, so if one hand is clutching a glass and the other a plate of canapés, the bag can be slung casually over the shoulder, out of the way.
