This is a rich dark raspberry red lizard skin handbag, from top end world renowned brand Mappin & Webb and made in England. It is in pristine condition, looks unused. An attractive feature of the handbag is the understated slim gilt clasp which is unusual to find in Mappin & Webb handbags, the gilt is still shiny and unmarked with no scratches, tarnish or diminution of gilt. The lizard skin to the whole of the handbag is in pristine condition with no scuffs, scratches etc and in the most glorious rich dark raspberry red, a most sought after colour. The top of the frame is lined in lizard skin, again in pristine condition. The handle is in pristine condition uncreased and firm and strong. The base of the handbag is unmarked. The inside of the handbag is fabulous, it is lined in a soft tan calf suede which is in pristine condition with no marks of use or stains, just the odd tiny age related mark, again it looks unused. There is a zipped pocket and slip pockets which are edged in luxurious red lizard skin, a sign of quality and attention to detail. The leather Mappin & Webb sign is fixed above the zipped pocket. The matching suede coin purse, lined in clean red grosgrain is still with the handbag, as well as the care card and original mirror in waxed paper sleeve.
