A beautiful vintage Liberty of London large varuna wool scarf, shawl, wrap, in a stylised floral design in red, taupe, beige, turquoise and black with a red border and the Liberty name woven into the wool. It is possible a Collier Campbell design but we can't say for definite. The varuna wool is in excellent condition with about 6 small holes which wouldn't be noticeable in use, the worst being pictured. The shawl colours are slightly more muted than they look in the photos and we have photographed it with red and black handbags to show how different colours work with it. Varuna wool shawls are no longer sold by Liberty so these are very popular and being wool they are also rare to find with no moth holes. It is in the large size with a fringed edging and the Liberty name woven into the fabric, the fringe is still perfect, it is in gorgeous rich shades of red, taupe, turquoise and beige with a red border and looks absolutely superb against black, red or neutral colours. The beauty of these wraps is that they are a very lightweight soft wool which is also very warm and they fold easily without creasing, for travelling or wearing on a day or night out.
A superb Liberty wool wrap, in excellent condition, in a large size, from a high end brand and in very rare and wearable colours, what's not to love. This is Liberty at a glance. Could be worn as a huge chunky scarf or as a shoulder wrap and would add a splash of colour and opulence to any outfit whether smart or casual notwithstanding the pesky holes, in perfect condition it would be considerably more expensive. A classic which will last for years. Perfect gift for her.
