Gorgeous unstructured vintage handbag in very soft leather in a vibrant lipstick red, an orange tinged red than than raspberry red, which is big enough for all your essentials and with a strap long enough to be comfortably carried on the shoulder, what's not to love. The leather is in excellent condition, with minimal creasing and the postman's lock bears minimal tarnishing and is still in very shiny gilt. The single strap handle is firm and strong with no cracking. The handbag is lined in a creamy beige grosgrain fabric which is clean with only the faintest of marks to show it has been used. The name label is fixed to the lining together with the name Peter Robinson the Strand Oxford Street London, the department store from which it was purchased, a sign of the quality of the handbag.
This is a delightful leather bag, in a sought after colour and from a quality brand (still in existence, one of the few UK brands from the 60s 70s to have survived) which would be fabulous worn with the 70's fashions currently having a revival, or any outfit requiring a splash of colour!
