This is a striking large leather handbag, briefcase or work bag from the 70s/80s, in snakeskin to the front in a gorgeous 'starburst' design and burgundy leather to the handle, back and sides. It is in almost pristine condition, looks unused and with any marks from age or storage rather than use. It is in a boxy square shape and quite slim and elegant. It is rare and eye catching, in rich shades of burgundy, black and grey with burgundy rigid leather covered handle echoing the shape of the bag and with attractive gilt accents and clasp. The sides, back and the rigid metal handle are burgundy leather, which is in excellent very little or unused condition. The snakeskin is in pristine condition, it is still glossy and with no lifting of scales. The handle is firmly attached and strong and the gilt trim is still bright and shiny with minimum loss of shine through age. The handbag is lined in a pale beige suede, with a zipped pocket, slip pocket and purse pocket with popper and all in excellent virtually pristine condition. It is made by Ackery a sought after quality vintage brand, the label is still fixed to the lining.
A real statement piece from Ackery and very eye-catching. A slim handbag, briefcase or work bag which is a rare find, especially in such fabulous condition. It would work for smart occasions where an upmarket and stylish large handbag is called for and it could be used for work as an individual and quirky twist with a formal suit or frock, would accomodate an iPad. It's not super capacious but punches well above it's weight in the style stakes! We love it. Perfect and individual gift for her.
