This is a rare dark emerald/forest green, superb quality Mappin & Webb shoulder bag with removable strap to form a clutch bag, in soft calf leather from a top end internationally renowned brand. It is absolutely gorgeous and in an eminently wearable rich colour. Very rare design, we have seen only one in this style before, in a larger briefcase size. This is in satchel style with a suede leather pristine interior. The exterior is in excellent but not quite pristine condition as there are a few finger scuffs to the front mainly near the clasp as the calf leather is very soft (please see photos). We especially love the barrel, or torpedo shaped gilt clasp, the ends of which are decorated with tiny cabochon saphires. There is a very long detachable leather shoulder strap which is long enough to be worn across the body. When removed the bag can be used as a decent sized clutch bag. Inside there is a zipped pocket and slip pockets and all in pristine suede, looks unused. The name Mappin & Webb is embossed in gilt on the lining. It's big enough for essentials, phone, credit cards, keys etc. But although small in size it punches well above its weight in the style stakes!
