Vibrant crisp and gorgeous, this scarf by high end and renowned quality brand Jaeger is in a very sought after and popular 80s design called 'Tapestry Rose' created by Collier Campbell. Collier Campbell was a company created by two extremely talented sisters who in their heyday in the 70s-90s designed stunning fabrics and furnishings, including silk scarves, which were sold by Liberty and also under their own brand label, as well as through other high end stores and brands such as Jaeger. Some of their designs are so sought after that even vintage items made from their furnishing fabrics such as curtains command very high prices. This scarf is in pristine condition, can't see any faults, the soft silk having a slightly crepe texture with hand rolled edges. The colours are as they appear in the photos, a rich medley of colours. The label remains with the name and made in Italy and the name Jaeger is woven into the fabric of the scarf.
It is a gorgeous Jaeger silk scarf, very distinctive and eye catching with the double whammy of being from a high end brand and being designed by a collectable and sought after design partnership. It could be dressed up or down, fabulous for Spring or Summer and to the cognoscenti it is Collier Campbell at a glance, to those not in the know it's Jaeger so a win win situation if you like quality, design or labels (or all three).
