This is a very robust handbag in caramel crocodile skin in excellent condition.The skin itself appears to be thicker than that found on some crocodile handbags whilst still retaining a very good shiny appearance. Caramel crocodile is one of our favourites, so when we find one in excellent condition we cannot resist buying it. We particularly like these colours, as they can be worn with so many different coloured outfits and will always give an outfit a 'lift'.
This one is in excellent condition to the outside, with supple skins with no cracking or splitting and the handle remains strong and intact and lined underneath in leather for extra strength. There is very little wear to the corners or base of the handbag despite not having gilt studs to protect it so it has obviously been well looked after. The attractive gilt clasp is in excellent condition. The rest of the frame is crocodile covered with no nicks or scratches. The suede lining to the handbag is in very good rather than pristine condition but has no major marks or stains. It just doesn't look as new as some of our handbags. The slip pockets in the lining are edged in the same taupe leather as the underneath of the handle.
A lovely crocodile handbag in a rich caramel, which looks quality and is robust enough to be used without being too precious about it. It is also at an attractive price, partly because of the less than pristine lining and partly the fact that it is not as intricate and by as well known a brand, as some of our other handbags but still original vintage and distinctive and eye catching.
