This is a very rare vintage yellow Lodix handbag (deeper yellow than it looks in the photos) is made by a british company (motto 'handbags of taste')which is well known for making handbags in pearlised leather, often with dramatic lucite decorated frames. This one is beautiful, it is in very good to excellent but not pristine condition, there are some small dings to the leather (visible in the photos) and the odd small mark to the leather which show up more than they would on a darker coloured handbag but mostly visible on inspection rather than at a glance. Notwithstanding, it is still lovely in a very rare colour and very eye catching. The gilt frame is absolutely gorgeous with the intricate and dainty bow detail incorporated onto the top bar, we have only seen this frame once before so very rare. The handle is firm and strong with minimal creasing but there is some loss of colour to the studs holding the handle to the fixings. The inside is clean in a pale tan suede with no marks or stains at all. The lining has lots of pockets, all edged in leather with the Lodix logo embossed in gold above.
These Lodix handbags in vibrant pearlised colours are beautiful and very sought after but disappointingly not many have survived in good condition. Despite this yellow one not being pristine it is still in great condition and definitely deserves to go to the ball. It is in a very rare colour, from a high end brand with a rare and eye catching frame. It would be particularly suitable to wear for weddings, garden parties or anywhere a smart formal handbag is required and perfect to wear with tea dresses and frocks.
