This is a gorgeous handbag in pristine condition from our favourite brand Waldybag, which was a high end brand worn by British and European royalty as well as Hollywood stars of the golden age of film. The company no longer exists but there are examples of Waldybags in the V&A museum which demonstrates the high quality and design of the brand. This particular Waldybag is one of the top end Waldybags. It is quite exquisite. The lizard skin is a gorgeous rich deep brown and in excellent condition, still glossy with no splitting or cracking of the skins and no scratches or marks from use. The gilt frame and clasp are in similarly pristine condition with no loss of gilt, nor marks from wear nor tarnish. The lizard skin handle looks unused and there are no marks to the base. The inside is a soft golden tan suede which is clean with no marks from use, not even a pen mark. The words 'Exclusive Waldybag made in England' are embossed in gilt on the leather above the zipped pocket.
This is a fabulous handbag, it oozes quality and is understated slim and elegant. It would be suitable to wear to any function however exalted, weddings, christenings, collecting the gong at the palace, in a very wearable colour. Properly looked after it would last many more generations and will be brought out time and again whenever a smart handbag is called for. Perfect for a gift.
