Beautiful and collectable silk scarf created for Liberty to commemorate HM the late Queen's silver jubilee in 1977. These jubilee scarves are becoming rare to find, especially in excellent condition and we all wish we had thought to buy one at the time... This is a used example which does bear some faint age marks, particularly to the central pale blue section of the scarf.These marks are visible on close inspection and in our view do not detract from the appearance of the scarf as the colours are still vibrant and the silk is still crisp with no major snags or pulls but although in excellent condition, it is not absolutely pristine. It is a large scarf with a hand rolled hem and the Liberty name on the usual bottom corner.
An excellent royal souvenir but also a very wearable item as the array of colours in the scarf would complement most outfits. Classic and classy and difficult to find, especially in this condition. Perfect to wear for a garden party to celebrate Her Majesty's 95th birthday this year.
