A gorgeous and very sought after large varuna wool wrap in one of, if not the most, popular designs from Liberty of London. This is in pristine unworn condition but it does have some of the dreaded moth holes from storage over the years. There are a few tiny pinprick type holes visible when held up to the light and two slightly larger ones which we have photographed below. None of them are particularly noticeable, even the larger ones as a result of the intricacy of the pattern and the mixture of colours but we have point out that it is not 100% perfect. The Liberty tag is still attached to the wrap on the underside. There is a fringed edge around the whole wrap. These varuna wool shawls from Liberty are enjoying a renaissance after falling out of fashion for many years. They are warm yet light and uncrushable (don't crease easily) so perfect for travelling. They are highly sought after and it is very difficult to find them at all, particularly in the 'Hera' design, let alone without moth holes.
This would look stunning knotted around the shoulders or neck of a black cashmere winter coat, could be used as a wrap over an evening dress, or slipped into hand luggage to keep you snug on an air conditioned plane and as black and red are very on trend for this Winter it would be a great vintage, collectable but very current addition to your wardrobe.
It is 51" x 51"
