An adorable little blue polyester scarf created to commemorate HM the late Queen's silver jubilee in 1977. Jubilee scarves are becoming rare to find, snapped up by collectors, especially those in excellent condition. This is a gorgeous little scarf and in pristine condition. Not high end it would have been quite inexpensive back in 1977 and as such these inexpensive polyester scarves would probably have been worn during the jubilee festivities and weeks surrounding then discarded, so not as many remain, especially in excellent condition, as the more expensive silk ones stored in drawers over the years. This has images of the royal palaces, a Beefeater, Guardsman, Cavalry Officer and a Police Constable in uniform, surrounded by ER and the dates 1952-1977.
An excellent royal souvenir but also a very wearable little item to be taken out for future royal celebrations and in gorgeous clear bright colours with excellent graphics, we love it. It's also a piece of history with the police uniform in contrast to those of today's police officers with protective vests and tech equipment rather than just a whistle. Perfect gift for her.
It is 26" x 26"
